Hi Gentlemen !

My last news was 2.5 years ago, but I’m back again with some website updates. You’re currently viewing the new and shiny MankinTrad.v.4, with  the following new toy :

› Some minor layout changes. Hope it’s more readable now. Changes are mostly visible on the left menu, and the chapter’s page.
› An excerpt of the last 3 comments is displayed under each news post of the frontpage.
› A new organisation of the chapters. There’s now a series section (Shaman King, Jumbor etc…), that contains a subsection (Kang Zeng Bang, Oneshot etc …), that finally contains the chapter.
› The last 5 chapters of each of our projects are displayed on the website’s left menu. Click on the series title to go to the series main page.
› Links are more friendly, and reflect the series hierarchy. All the old chapters link will not work anymore. Online reader links are unchanged.
› Online reader layout is cleaner. You can also navigate between the pages with your keyboard arrow key. <left arrow> to go back one page, and <right arrow> to go to the next page.
› French chapters’ download page and online reader are in … French now.
› Website has been moved to HTML5 and CSS3. Thus, a lot of shiny functionnality, but supported only in modern browser. For best view, use Firefox3, Opera10, Chrome, Safari or IE9. IE8 shouldn’t have a lot of problems, IE7 will not display some extras/unimportant things, but render the page correctly for a correct reading. IE6 is not supported anymore, and I don’t know how the site looks on it, since I don’t use a 9 year-old browser.
› Finally, the site should load a bit faster. Execution time has dropped from 0.035s to 0.0005s. I doubt anyone will feel the difference … ><“. To ensure speed, a cache system has been installed, thus some “personalised” features, such as the “last viewed comments” have been sacrified. I’ll try to restore it using another method in the 4.1 version.

If you have a pretty decent browser and still see some display problems, try clearing your browser cache

We get almost 100 spams everyday from the news comments system. Filter is now set to delete suspicious posts immediately. If your comment is flagged as spam when you post it, please edit it to make it more humanish, because we don’t want to filter them ourselves anymore.

The website engine is more and more developed, and could be used to host other scantrad team. So if you’re a team, and need a website, I can host you (if you’re active, motivated, worthy ..).
