Welcome April! We’ve got alot of things to do, and not alot of time! Only about a month! So many releases to come out, I just don’t know how many, but I sure think it’s alot! So, let’s start this off right! With Smash Bomber Chapter 1!

That’s right! A new series we’re scanlating right here at Mankin-Trad! Yes, it’s a series Takei has worked on! After Shaman King was canceled, Smash Bomber was the series he supervised before creating “Jyuki Ningen Jumbor.” Hmm… I wonder what’s the next series Mankin-Trad will focus on (after we finish Shaman king’s original print)….

UPDATE: Bah! In such a rush to upload this, I forgot 3 things!
1. Forgot to add the credits page! Now it’s in there! So, if you haven’t downloaded it yet, the page is now there!

2. Translations are by Dit! Yeah! He’s the new girl! This actually falls under his 11th or 12th (maybe more? Depends what you count) translations for Mankin-Trad! You haven’t heard of her!? Oh… you will, most of April releases have come from her, so enjoy! How many female translators does this put us at? How about all!

3. The Raw provider for this chapter was “MadHatter!” Who? He’s been around over at

If you’ve followed Mankin-Trad for a while, maybe you’ve seen these before. Or at least #2. That’s right, all 3 years, 2006, 2007, and now 2008 are now up and hosted on Mankin-Trad! Please enjoy!

So, with all these changes, yes, there is going to be some major updates to the side menu (and possibly the entire layout of the site). For this reason, the side menu might not be kept up to date as possible. Don’t worry, by the end of the month, it will be all cleaned up and easier to find things. We’re just expanding too quickly for our own good!

Also, I’m breaking tradition here. For the last, god, I would say 4 or 5 years, I’ve made an April Fool’s joke news post. This year I haven’t. I put my time into actually working hard on both the 2008 Parody and Smash Bomber this past weekend. Who knows, maybe I’ll upload some of my past jokes.. maybe… Anyways, look forward to SK282, Smash Bomber Chapter 1 Commentary (by yours truely), and how you can be part of the Mankin-Trad team this weekend!
