It's not every day there is a huge interview with a manga creator. With the releases of Shaman King KZB extras of "Last Words" we do get a little insight into the mind of Hiroyuki Takei. However, this interview goes well above and beyond. Jumbor, Ultimo, Shaman King, and a little bit about Jyuki Ningen Jumbor are all discussed. Plus you get a behind the scenes look at Hiroyuki Takei's office! On a slight side note, this is his second office, which he moved into towards the end of the original Shaman King release in Weekly Shonen Jump.
There are two versions released for this release. There is the online reading, and there is the .pdf download. I highly recommend downloading the .pdf verision. It's scaleable, you can select the text, and it's much, much larger. But the online reading version is there just in case you want to read it there. (I say download it anyways though, since it may load directly into your browser if you just click "open")
Alot of people need some HUGE thanks for this release. It's really everyone on the team, but here's there "Go you, you rock!" shout outs!
andysislands - (It's me, so I just did everything I normally do..., so I won't toot my own horn)
BadS - He took the time to re-create the entire Pafu interview from the ground up in inDesign. That is super awesome! And must have taken forever. This is a bit of his "swan song" for Mankin-Trad for now (though it's been done for a while). But a huge thanks goes to him for making this release as awesome as it is. a .pdf version wouldn't have happened without him! Mega thanks!
Dit - The single largest undertaking for a single release, ever. And probably ever again. You know this release comes out to 8,189 words, right? That's huge. This interview covered everything, and she was able to make it all happen for us. Super thanks!
Jezzy - And for all those words, we also have Jezzy to proofread through it all and ensure that quality remains at the highest level. Awesome thanks!
So, enjoy this release! I'm sure it's something that will be talked about and referenced for years to come. And thank you again to everyone on this project team. Great work!

Love it!! Great job team :D
Also...
New country, new house... but more importantly, I have internet again!
Thanks!!!
Great job!!
Thanks!!!
Great job!!!
That was such a good read <3 Really glad we get to see more of Takei's office too. (I sooo want that helmet)
Great job, Mankintrad, for your hardwork :)
Thank you so much for all of your hard work! It's beautiful, as always.
I love how people were like "OMG WHERE IS PAFU" and now that it's finally released, there's one comment not by one of us =3=
@Dit
*the cloud of jealousy looms*
well, sadly Most of the people who reads this stuff don't reply OTL
it's really nice to see his place work~~ great job Love the edition, it's so clean and perfect <3 super HD
thanks a lot again for everything
A round of applause for such a tremendous undertaking.
I wanted to thank you guys for doing this interview; all the effort you put for it shows! Now I have a rather strange question; is Ultra Jump offically considered a seinen magazine by the publisher? I know the magazine is aimed for an older audience than Shonen Jump, but what got me confused was an ANN article that stated the publication numbers of each company, and Shueisha seems to have it under boy comics instead of men's.

If someone can explain this it would be much appreciated!
Eh.... What about Shaman King Flowers?
Weird haven't come out for quite some time

I hope it is anything else except for a new anime. I know I'm being selfish but I have my own reasons ....

Mhhh it could be cool if the anime follows the manga as happened for FMA =)
I try to comment again (i don't know i can't remplyç_ç)
I hope in a new anime if this follows the manga, as happened for Full meta Alchemist, it could be nice =)
About the manga.. i hope in the sequel of "Flowers" XD
Maybe a new anime?? That would be excellent!!
HunterXHunter is making a remake, FMA did too... well after all mankin's anime didn't follow manga entirely so, it would be cool in my opinion.
Also all this new technology would mean better quality in battles and stuff...
a new manga? I don't know... Just, why? xD maybe more stuff like these remix tracks but a manga remake? Is it necessary??
Drama cd's? IDK if they cover battles, Osorezan Revoir did fine but i'm not sure if it's the best option either....
well, we will have to wait and see : )
I truly hope it's something like an anime remake, I truly hope
ANDY thanks a lot for the info!! these are exciting news anyway

@ liz
Mhh i don't think is a remake of the manga xD We had the KZB edition and i think is fine =) Abuout the remix track i agree with u. BTW i don't think they're a OOC because we know the char only during che SF and we don't know them as well as we think XD So... yes.. hoto hoto probably reads porns (He is a GUY >_> Is normal XD) and a lot of stories couldn't draw by Takei for problems (I think he said it by himself =P). So.. Remix can be usefull for know better pur favourite chars and.. they're funny *-*
About the remake of the anime, i tought the same thing. A remake (that follows the manga remember XD) is nice *-* I wanna see Silva with the new style >_>
BTW: just wait xD
I personally would love a new anime.
My wallet? Not so much.
New anime = tons of expensive goodies you NEED
LOL there is a problem... the AMERICAN VERSION of the anime was dubbed and censored by 4kids... the japanese by Nippon Animaton... are different production... probably u must hope that 4kids will not buy the right for the new anime XD
And BTW... there are the fan sub XD I don't care about the TV version u.u I follow in jap language XD
Infact i follow the english subs (i'm italian and there aren't italian subs ç_ç) lol
Andy finally I can comment! It is all ok, we discovered a way to do it <3
I've always wanted to watch the 4kids version... it sounds so crappy it must be fun.
Thank God we got the original untouched version in Spain. Though I loved Anna's voice actress and now she's retired D:
the shaman king anime sucked so hard, the ending was so bad that everytime i think of SK i get chills. i hope they remake the anime and actually make it a close adaptation of the manga.
i personally think the manga had a pretty boring ending, the train thing was so weird, it killed the intense moments before it (the guys fighting hao with the elemental spirits). imo the fights with the officials should have lasted for a minimum of 2 chapters, you can see that the 1st few officials go on for around that long, then the team start one shotting the final few (the chameleon was terrible).
remake the anime, the american one sucked... hard.
also, is it just me or did the kzb also feel rushed, the fights with the officials didn't have an intensity (minus a few of the early ones) and they seemed to drop like flies after the swan guy.
Well, you have to take into consideration that Takei didn't have all the pages in the world to use for his battles, unfortunately. Who knows, maybe if it's a new anime they'll extend them somewhat.
@Dit
Yes, I have a compulsion to buy anything and everything having to do with Shaman King. It's a disease.
@Jezzy
OMG me too °° I'm buying everything related to SK, I'm almost to buy the complete japanese DVD collection (about 600 €)
Yup. I bought those as they came out back in '08. A wonderful investment. Luckily the USD was much better back then...I bought them to make AMVs, but I've always felt that a new anime would come out at some point, so I should hold off since my con doesn't accept "remastered" amvs. I always thought I'd have to start one before Murphy's Law would kick in and we'd get an announcement like this. Hopefully I get what I want =3=
Luckily I only have the really odd, or one of a kind Shaman King stuff. Still stand by my hand-drawn original page from Shaman King Chapter 1.
So sure, more Shaman King is good for me! (Plus I have more spending money now) I have an idea if it becomes a Drama CD... and by idea, I mean very, very detailed idea.
He just wants to be right. Andy is an epileptic forest when it comes to stuff like this.
*u* Ohman, thank you so much for this!
Such a long project, too. D: You guys are such hard workers. xD <3 Much appreciated!
